While Beachlands is close by and also has Parking available.

The Island has a large Beach, now mainly shingle covered around the main areas but still offers a Large SAND Beach on the West Coast close to the Ferry Boat Inn. Parking in this area is also available but food stalls are a bit sparse.

The Island is also said to be one of the best Wind Surfing areas on the South Coast. Strong tide's and good winds also mean that swimming can only take place along the centre of the Island. Yes close to the fair..

Beach Barbeque ?
We don't advise you just start one, but you may get a License from the local authority if you want to have one.

The area includes:
The Fair.
Many Amusement arcades.
Caravan Parks. All Over the Island.
Two main Holiday Camps.
West Town (a small shopping centre for soveneirs and your weekly shopping)
Sandy Point Nature Reserve.

Access:
Only one road on to the Island.
A27
A3023 (to Havant)
A Cycle route will take you off the main road and follows the west coast of the island.

Things to do:
Visit Creek Road. (Mainly Amusement arcades on the south/east corner)
Visit the Fair. (In the middle of the southern coast line)
Visit one of the many small shops dotted around the island.
For more information visit the Hayling Island web site

Parking:
The Island offers good parking at the sea front. Most are private owned so they close when the attractions do.
The parking around the shops are mainly counsil owned so you do not have to pay after 6PM. But they are a reasonable price.
